Privacy Policy

PlayMint is built to know as little about you as possible. There is no account, no sign-in and no advertising, so there is nothing to profile. This page explains the small amount of anonymous data we do collect and how to turn it off.

What stays on your phone

Your search history, playback settings and downloaded files are stored only on your device. We cannot see them, and uninstalling the app removes them (downloaded files in Movies/PlayMint and Music/PlayMint stay until you delete them).

What the app connects to

• Video services. To show and play videos, the app requests pages and media directly from the video service you are watching, the same way a browser would. Those requests come from your device, not from our servers.
• playmint.app. When the app opens it downloads a small settings file to check for updates, and sends the anonymous reports described below.

Anonymous app reports

To find and fix problems quickly, the app sends a small amount of anonymous information to playmint.app. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous reports.

• A random install ID created on your phone. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, Google account or advertising ID.
• Device basics: app version, Android version, phone model and language.
• A daily check-in so we can count active installs. Your approximate location (country, region and city) is derived from the connection when it arrives; we do not store your IP address.
• Crash and error reports: the type of error, a technical stack trace and the video quality in use. We never send what you searched for or which videos you watched.

The app may also use Google Analytics for Firebase to count screens and feature use (for example, that a download was started). Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. The same Settings switch turns it off.

This website

playmint.app counts visits with its own first-party analytics: the page viewed, the site that referred you, your approximate location (from the connection, without storing your IP address), your device type and a random visitor ID stored in your browser. We count APK downloads the same way. We do not use advertising cookies or sell or share personal data.

Children

PlayMint is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
